Meet Ezra Negru, our youngest missionary
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” -Matthew 3:17
Ezra Negru was diagnosed before he was born in 2020 with a rare condition called Cornelia De Lange Syndrome. This genetic syndrome results in multiple physical, cognitive, and medical challenges that are lifelong for Ezra.
While many parents would be brokenhearted for their child to be born this way, Emi and Tereza Negru rejoice in the blessing that God has given them by bringing Ezra into their lives.
The Ezra Discipleship Center is named in honor of their son.
God has made it clear to us that in order to expand the impact of our work in Greece, it is of vital importance to raise the next generation of fishers of men and of disciples that would make disciples.
What is the Ezra Discipleship Center?
For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel. -Ezra 7:10
The Ezra Discipleship Center emphasizes teaching three key steps to our students: Academics, Life, and Ministry.
- Academics: Learning how to study the Bible in a practical way.
- Life: To be discipled to live out what they learn with passion and consistency.
- Ministry: Go out every weekend to grow in evangelism skills & burden for the lost, to disciple youth, and focus on a heart of serving the local church.
Our focus is to remain on the basics of discipleship and to be a greenhouse providing strong believers and workers for the local churches in Greece and for the worldwide mission field.
